Young Is What We Do
Beasts Is Who We Are
Young Is What We Do
It's been a long time coming now (a long time coming now)
Young Is What We Do
Cool Is Who We Are
Young Is What We Do
It's been a long time coming now (a long time coming now)
It's coming now
It's been a long time coming now we're taking it back
Too long playing defense now we're on the attack
We've been tiptoeing round it but
Tonight is the night we go all the way
It's been a long time coming now
Young Is What We Do
Beasts Is Who We Are
Young Is What We Do
It's been a long time coming now (a long time coming now)
Young Is What We Do
C-C-Cool Is Who We Are
Young Is What We Do
It's been a long time coming now (a long time coming now)
It's coming now
From the wrong side of the tracks
With everything that we lack
Yesterday was in the past
It's been a long time coming now (a long time coming now)
Custom-made for you and me
The 21st Century
Now all my '90's kids agree
It's been a long time coming now
It's coming now...
Young is what we do, Beasts is who we are
Young is what we do, It's been a long time
Coming on strong, We're gonna make it if we just believe
Let's stop the hating now
(Please stop the hating now)
Tell Me that you do...
I'm at the aftershow, chillin' at the bar below the stage
I need to blow off steam, do some meet-and-greet,
That kind of thing
Had a vague plan to see some friends but they're not here yet
All of a sudden there's this lady standing in my way
And so I had to say
"How you doin' luv, you having a good time tonight?"
And from the way she laughed I figured something wasn't quite right
She takes another step and leans her full weight up on me
"Won't you tell me where you're stayin' and you'll find me in your bed?"
And this is what she said:
"Tell Me that you love me, Tell Me that you want me
Tell Me that you need me and that you'll never cheat on me
So I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever have to
Second Guess..."
Well honesty is best but that's way too much info
And since we never met before it's borderline pyscho
I try to move this oversize koala off me
"Hey girl I'm flattered and I wish I was as trashed as you
Now darlin' let me through"
But as I turn I'm feeling both her arms around my neck ("uh, hi")
And with a hurt tone she says "I wasn't finished yet" (oh snap)
And now my heart is sinking lower that my hi-tops
"I love your accent and I think you got a real cute face
I so enjoy the chase"
"Tell Me that you love me, Tell Me that you want me
Tell Me that you need me and that you'll never cheat on me
So I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever have to
Second Guess..."
Now I've heard every kind of opening line but let's be clear
That no one wants to hear:
"Tell Me that you love me, Tell Me that you want me
Tell Me that you need me and that you'll never cheat on me
So I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever have to
Second Guess..."
Yamato verse (translated from Japanese):
(Words by Yamato)
It’s Automatic, at least I thought I got a big crush on you.
It'd never happen again if today was the only chance.
Are you tired of the city? I think you need to get away.
I wanna get outta this city, I’ll take you fly away.
Gimme dat chocolate just a little bit.
Gimme more and share it just for tonight.
Lose yourself in the maze of color.
I'll zip down your chanel dress then.
about
"For my latest release - the 'Young Is What We Do' Remix EP - I reached out to 6 Internationally-renowned Electronica DJs and Producers from the US, UK and Japan and gave them total creative freedom to re-imagine my music in their own style. There's 4 remixes of tracks from The Duellists - my album released earlier this year - plus 2 brand new songs. We've got BZZZ from Omaha, Nebraska doing shiny dance-pop; from the UK we've got Aqualung doing epic soundscape-meets-drum&bass; legendary UK Deep House DJ Shur-i-kan and electro-funkster Bleep Shack; from Tokyo, Japan, Big Beat Producer Bitone Music, plus my original album collaborator Masaru Mitsu flexing his producer skills as K.G.B. in a crazy dub mix featuring Japanese rapper Yamato, yeah! I'm just totally floored by the incredible creativity of these guys; this collection is a totally unique, super-diverse international smorgasbord of awesomeness. :)"
We're donating all profits to help the International Foster Care Alliance!
